I think what Elvis once said about memphis can be said about the village.

" EVERYTHING"

Watching my daughter catch more fish than my son.... consistently! (hint: patience)

Watching my son become an excellent boater with better boating skills than many adults lol!

Going to the golf course most any time you please and walking right out on to the course never having to wait for a tee time or a huge group in front of you.

Sitting out on the deck at night in the peace and quiet and listening to nothing.

Watching my kids jump off the dock on Lake Sequoyah.

I just wanted to create a topic in which we can share "little things" we like about Cherokee Village. Here is a seemingly small thing, but to me it is very memorable.

Shortly after I bought a house in CV, just my son and I went for a visit. He went exploring right away. As anyone who lives in CV knows, there are little rocks everywhere. Mostly, limestone. Well, I had started trying to gather up a ton of them from the backyard and put them in a pile. I went inside for a break and an ice tea. My son comes out of the woods and starts working on adding to the pile. Soon he throws a rock hard into the pile -- and it sparks! He found some flint. Turns out there's tons of it.

For a boy let me tell you that's something special. So he started collecting rocks and wanting to take them back home put them in his knapsack. The TSA at Little Rock Airport could believe he was carrying rocks!!!

So for me and my boy, those little rocks are a "small thing" about CV that is really great.
