Re: Is there diversity in Cherokee Village?
Hi rttjr,
I think our new poster asks a very good question. There
will always be concerns about how welcoming a place is to newcomers.
The fact is that Cherokee Village was always intended to be a nature-oriented retirement place for "imports" from out of
State. It was marketed that way from the beginning. There is a good
balance now of those who are more or less native to the area and those
who have come in from other States and with a fairly broad set of age groups. There is certainly diversity in
perspectives, friendliness, and many interesting folks here. Come and visit and stay
for a while like Mike says. You will be happy to have a chance to feel
out the area and get a sense of the real estate market and your lots

Re: Is there diversity in Cherokee Village?
Rttjr,
Welcome to the forum! I think Cherokee Village, Arkansas is a diverse place, of course. Inside the village, there are people from all walks of life, not many, but there are people here from other cultures. There is a large influx of northern retirees from the upper Midwest and many from Florida as well. As with any new area, I would always advise a lengthy visit staying in the village to get a sense of what it's all about and if you really like it as much as many of us do. Moving somewhere that you've never seen is a big risk no matter where that destination is. Come for visit and judge for yourself.
If you have any other questions, please ask!

Is there diversity in Cherokee Village?
I bought two lots on ebay in CV. The price was right and the community seemd like a place that I would living in. I am from Pa. Originally, then TX and now AZ. I want to retire in Arkansas. I really miss the 4 seasons in AZ. My wife is from the Philippines and she is afraid to make new friends. Is there a diverse gruop of people in CV? I too bought my lots site unseen, but the area seems so nice and exactly what I am looking for. Quiet Country! Anyhow, don't really know where I was going with this post. I was reading and decided that I felt like adding to it.
