Re: Stocking of Lake Aztec
Hello Mike and Trout,
Thank you so much for your responses. I'm sure they are appreciated by all of us. My wife and I love to fish so we are really hoping that once we get settled in CV we will have of lot of free time to do just that. Look so forward to casting..casting..and more casting!

Re: Stocking of Lake Aztec
Trout, good question and one that I don't know. I did know the answer to that and it was a valid explanation from what I remember, but I have forgotten. Just because the state is doing the stocking, that doesn't necessarily mean the state taxpayers are footing the bill. Maybe the state gets reimbursed because it is a private lake, I just don't know. SID would be the one to ask. I do know that you need a valid fishing license to fish if a game and fish officer ever asked to see it inside a CV lake (hardly ever happens from what I hear), but you still need a guest pass or property owner card with you if you are using the lakes, fishing or not.

Re: Stocking of Lake Aztec
Mike does SID pay for the stocking? Using state of AR fish for a private lake would seem out of place using taxpayers money to stock a private lake. If the state does stock and does not charge SID then the lake could be used by non CV residents I would think. Your thoughts.

Re: Stocking of Lake Aztec
All of the lakes are regularly stocked by the state. I do know they were all stocked in December 2009 and Aztec was included in that stocking. They are on a regular stocking rotation with the state.

Re: Stocking of Lake Aztec
Welcome. I would check with the SID office about the stocking of the lakes since they are the keeper of the lakes so to speak. Once again Welcome to the forum. and good fishing.

Stocking of Lake Aztec
As a new owner of property located in Hualapi Addition I was wondering when and how often is Lake Aztec is stocked with fish i.e. is it done on a yearly basis and if so, which month.
Is a fishing license required to fish in CV?
Thanks
Abdi
