BUILDING IN CHEROKEE VILLAGE Empty Re: BUILDING IN CHEROKEE VILLAGE

Hi Forum,

Someday I'm actually going to go to one of these. Safety is a huge motivation -- and they are local enough. The issue in the past was contractors that would do turn-key. That doesn't seem a problem anymore. Here's the recent notice:

KODIAK STEEL HOMES

Training Day Seminar and Home Tour
We want as many families as possible to enjoy the safety, long term cost savings and low maintenance costs of a Kodiak steel home. That’s why we keep our prices as low as possible.
However, due to rising steel costs our prices will increase by 14% on July 29, 2011. We want to give as much advance notice as possible so that you will have time to make arrangements to place your order – and save money.
Here are just a few of the many reasons now is a great time to build:
Steel prices are still low – until July 29.
Sub-contractors are readily available and want to work.
Interest rates are near historic lows.
Construction material prices such as drywall, flooring, plumbing, etc. are low.
Please give us a call today at 800-278-0888. We can help you understand all the steps involved in building a new home and show just how easy it is to get started. Remember, the sooner you start, the sooner you will enjoy the safety and cost savings of the strongest steel home system in America – Kodiak Steel Homes®.
We are also hosting a steel construction seminar and open house on July 16th, 2011. It is quite likely that this seminar will be full so we strongly encourage you to reserve your spot today. The cost is $25 per person or $35 per couple.
We thank you for your interest in Kodiak Steel Homes® and look forward to hearing from you soon.
Sincerely,
Kodiak Steel Homes®

BUILDING IN CHEROKEE VILLAGE Empty BUILDING IN CHEROKEE VILLAGE

Hi Forum,

I would like to start a new topic here on building in Cherokee Village. Folks can just share anything they think might be helpful on the topic or experiences that they have had with contractors or techniques. Elsewhere I have posted on high quality steel buildings by Kodiak of North Little Rock that have interested me. But here is another technique that I find really interesting. It is basically a highly insulated pre-moulded form you stack and fill. You might want to check it out:
