Re: Great Data on Cherokee Village
Hi trout,
I fully agree that cautions needs to be a large part of dealing with statistic. Clearly, they are working from "public records" beyond the census which may or may not be current.
What attracted my attention was the ratio of "in-Staters to "out-of-Staters" in terms of birth place. It gives some handle on the effectiveness of Cooper's vision and marketing. Basically, what we see is 1,589 in-state versus 3,632 out-of-state relocation.
Now to be sure those numbers would not hold up in anything more than a general view. But it does reflect the ratio that my gut tells me is about right. As for sources, you could do this calculation with nothing more than a public record of place or State of birth. Does census collect that?

Paul nice but like it says at the end use data at your own risk. Some numbers were way over like populaltion,, also Baptist Hospital once managed the old hospital but that was years ago. Also I would like to know just where did they get all that "data" . Census data is not that deep.

Great Data on Cherokee Village
Hi Forum,
There are websites out there that will give you basic data on an area. But this website really gives some interesting stuff. For example, what the numbers are of people who were born here or moved here from another State and other interesting info. Ever wondered what the ratio is of out-of-Staters -to locals in-Staters in CV? Take a look and comment if you find something of interest. This is really worth a visit. Best website of its kind that I've found:
