Re: Cherokee Village Arkansas Schools
Hi Forum,
The fact that we have had 106 "views" on this post but no one answering the basic question perhaps confirms the point that I was making. For whatever reason, folks are reluctant to comment on schools their kids or grandkids may attend. Again, all I've heard about the schools is positive. But I do find the level of "interest" relative to the level of "response" here interesting.

Re: Cherokee Village Arkansas Schools
Hi Desertdweller,
Thanks for the high regard for the Forum. We really do want to be of help to folks and get solid information out there. This issue of the local schools is a hard nut to crack. Part of the issue is that a number of retirees on the Forum don't have kids involved. The other issue may be -- and this is speculation -- that parents are generally spooked to talk about schools their kids attend for fear of repercussions from teachers. That's pretty universally true.
My gut tells me that the school are quite decent. No doubt there are differences between how they are at Elementary and High School level. Maybe some brave soul will speak up. Like I said, it's hard to get much on this subject for some reason. Of course, as we all know, school board politics can also be pretty intense.

Re: Cherokee Village Arkansas Schools
I just want to thank you Paul for posting this information. I have two boys that will be in Elementary school when we get settled in CV and like all parents, education is important, and it is especially important to acquire as much information as one can on areas that will impact their lives.
This board seems to be that beacon and I salute people like yourself and the other posters who go out their way to welcome newcomers like myself.
Finding information on CV is somewhat of a challenge and it is always a pleasure to be able to find what your looking for on forums like this.
Keep up the good work and may you all be blessed in your efforts and endeavors.
