Twin Rivers School District Sharp County Arkansas Ballot Question Results 2010
The special election for the Highland Arkansas School District School Board also had the following question on the ballot:
30.0 Mill School Tax
The total rate proposed above includes the uniform rate of tax to be collected on all taxable property in the state and remitted to the state treasurer pursuant to amendment number 74 to the Arkansas Constitution to be used soley for maintenance and operation of schools in the state. The total proposed school tax levy of 30.0 mills includes 25.0 mills specifically voted for general maintenance and operation and 5.0 mills voted for debt service previously voted as a continuing levy and pledge for retirement of existing bonded indebtness. The surplus revenues produced each year by debt service millage may be used by the district for other school purposes. The total proposed school tax levy of 30.0 mills represents the same rate presently being collected for the electors of the Highland School District of Sharp County, Arkansas prior to the consolidation with Twin Rivers School District of Sharp County, Arkansas (The Twin Rivers School District) and a 1.09 mill decrease for the electors of the former Twin Rivers School District.

Voted for - 529
Voted against - 388
