I'm not in the Village at the moment, so I can't say what is biting. Lake Chanute is pretty good most of the time. The smaller lakes are generally better. You can rent boats. Hope that you have a great visit. Consider doing some trout fishing to in Spring River. Paul

Never done a Forum before so excuse me if I'm not in the right place to ask.
We are coming to CV June 2 - 9 bringing the fishing poles.
What's biting and can we rent a boat at the marinas we are property owners and are house hunting.

I would welcome some crappie recipes -- especially with red beans. By the way, would everyone agree that a Crappie is basically a cross between a Perch and a Sunfish.
