Don't worry, you'll be able to use the amenities, it's just a matter of the costs which aren't much for you.
Thanks everyone for your comments. I will be renting from an individual who lives elsewhere in CV. I don't see any complications here. Even if I pay guest fees they still seem very reasonable to me. I do live in Mexico currently and can tell you that the area we live in is not one of the "retire in Mexico on $500.00 a month" places. To tell you the truth, I don't think it is possible to live anywhere in Mexico for $500.00 a month unless you are a Mexican and even that would be a streach. We were looking at a grocery store flier from one of your local stores a couple of weeks ago and noticed that most every item is much less up there than down here, sometimes half the price. We have a Wal Mart but it is a major rip off and way overpriced. A box of Vanilla Wafers is $12.00 we just bought one. Actually, we just made some homemade bananna pudding, total cost of ingredients was about $25.00. Anyway, I could go on and on. We are looking forward to getting back up North.

Re: ARE RENTERS PEOPLE TOO
Hi Donjulio,
I don't know the answer about amenities and rentals. As I recall, one had to be a property/lot owner to use the SID features. The answer to the deeper question of whether "renters are people too" is of course -- Yes. Issues about property upkeep are certainly more about landlords than renters. And as Mike rightly points out, the problem is not limited simply to rentals but involves some owners as well -- especially part-timers who don't stay on top of things.
The real issue is having a single standard of upkeep for the entire Village. No area should get a pass because it serves rental interests. Code Enforcement is the answer here and it has done a great job in recent years.
I agree 103 degrees is not "mild" or "moderate." But it is not the norm.

Re: ARE RENTERS PEOPLE TOO
Hi donjulio, I am not sure how it works now. I have lived here 10 years
now, and rented at first. At that time I needed to use my landlords CV
property owners card to use at facilities. It was not a problem then. I
would hope that it is easier now, and if you reside in the Village, you
should be entitled to the use of all facilities, and be issued your own
card. As for the heat, the months of July, August, and September have
always been pretty hot, but this year it is unusually hot.

ARE RENTERS PEOPLE TOO
We are moving to CV in a couple of months and are planning on renting for a while and just wanted to know if amenities are offered to renters on the same basis as owners. Also, is the heat you are experiencing typical for the area. All the info I have read about the area suggests "mild" climate, newsflash, 103 is not mild or maybe I have been gone too long.
