Re: LOS INDIOS
I don't think that would ever happen. Too many owners would have to agree and it would be a very costly and frustrating process both legally and monetarily is my guess. Think about it. You have potentially 52 owners for every unit right now. That is alot of owners. Los Indios will stay timeshare (or TACOs or fractionals) until collectively timeshares go away as a whole and that won't happen anytime soon.

Hi Mike,
Great post. My hope is that one day they will go from timeshare to outright purchase. This must happen sometimes.

Re: LOS INDIOS
If you buy one, remember you are buying a specific week in the year plus you still pay maintenance fees that I believe are approximately $350 yr but don't quote me on that, just what I heard once. You could probably find one week for sale depending on the week in the year for a few hundred bucks to a couple thousand if you wanted one. I do know this about timeshares, once you own one, they are hard to get rid of as not many people want them anymore. Loads of them just are given away and you just assume the yearly maintenance fee. I know someone who was given a week in July in a Singer Island Florida high rise condo on the ocean for free. He pays $400 yr for the maintenance fee and has only used the week there once. They usually trade for another timeshare in some other locale as there are timeshare trading groups all over the internet. So for $400 it's a cheap week at a nice place somewhere, but you still have travel expenses and food etc. So no matter what, you still pay. So what I'm saying between the lines is why bother paying for a timeshare when there are people all over the world willing to give theirs away for free. Happy hunting if so inclined.

Individual owners own them. I think there are some for sale. Remember they are timeshares, you don't own the unit, you own the time.

Re: LOS INDIOS
Hi Forum,
Still wondering who owns Los Indios. I would buy in there if there were actual units for sale.

Re: LOS INDIOS
Hi Mike,
Are time shares the only way to go on there? Are any units actually ever offered for sale? And who owns the overall operation?

Re: LOS INDIOS
Timeshares built in the early 80s, nice places and are very popular units that people come to stay in. The annexation thing for los indios has to do with fire and police protection if i'm not mistaken.
Here's an old article about it while it was being discussed.

LOS INDIOS
Hi Forum,
Does anyone know the actual history behind the development of Los Indios within Cherokee Village? I notice that it was recently annexed. It would be nice to buy in that area.
