Welcome to the forum! We consider a hidden gem and love it. We acknowledge a few problems as any small area will have and there are many good people trying to constantly make this area an even better place, but all in all, the draw to CV remains. My boyfriend and I came down on Wed. Oh my how hot! But CV is beautiful and we found our lot! Yes the hotest temp was 117 in AR. Wow, but it is so beautiful and the people are so friendly. We know we will be happy to move there. Kathy

today status report: unbelievable. Sign at Town Center set 109. Despite he took a swim at Omaha Centet late in the day. It was actually nice even in the heat.

Driving up the 4 lane today, you could see a number of electronic outside temperature readings. One said 102 degrees. I really don't think that is typical of the beginning of July around here. The locals are complaining. I don't think it's just an UP NORTH perspective. One person said to me, "We just skipped Spring this year.“ An ice tea sounds like a good idea with the air conditioning on as well!

Paul you must be from the area called UP NORTH. This is the SOUTH and it is always hot and humid starting in May thru September. That is why we have ICED TEA.

Just playing with you, Paul. The heat is a good thing! I wish you could take CV and move it south so it stayed summer year round like Florida Very Happy

I'll try not to overreact in the future. Just know that a lot of locals here right now are sick of this heat. Ain't just me or I'm hallucinating about the conversations I'm hearing around me. I certainly agree july 4th will be a blast even it's 100.

Lol, Paul the weather will be in the low to mid 90s, very typical. Nothing extreme or abnormal and it's really no big deal so not sure what you're talking about. If it got around 105 then I think Arkansas would call that extreme and even then more people would just go to the water and cool off or crank the AC a bit more. However 93 degrees is a yawner, a non-event and should make for a great day. If it's not the high 80s to 103 in Arkansas in the summer then something is wrong and the ice age must be coming fast. I'm only sorry we won't be there this year. First time we've missed the 4th in the village in a few years.

Hi Forum,

So much effort and money has gone into Thunder on Thunderbird that the extreme heat anticipated is a shame. At least it wiil be in the evening thank goodness. I'm sure we wiil all cope and Have a great time. Bring your ice water and keep an eye on those with health issues.

This year and last year we had early high temps. Must be in a new cycle or something. Probably Al Gore is pushing that global warming thing again to make more money for his divorce (lol)
