Re: RADIO IN THE AREA
Paul, ever hear of Ipod or Itunes. Radio the way we grew up with it is slowly dying. Sirus,Itunes,Ipod and now Iphone make radios obsolete.
Program your own musie and go jamming down the road. Sorry Paul, just like 8 track. Sad Sad Sad.

Re: RADIO IN THE AREA
I can't find his contact info either--he's on Facebook and so is Spring River Chronicle or Spring River Mag, but he's changed his pages. I noticed last month The Spring River Mag office was right before you get to the Hardy Bridge on the Highway to the right as you go into Hardy from CV

Re: RADIO IN THE AREA
Hi SRC and Forum,
Does anyone know how to put this idea in Jody's head? I can't find a working contact for him. There would be real potential there for quality programing.

Re: RADIO IN THE AREA
Hi Forum,
Picking up again on this theme of formating, there's a group of talent young people associated with Spring River Survival Guide magazine and related internet/media work locally. One are of the "2030 Plan" that could yield fruit is more of a focus on helping ambitious young citizens.
I would venture that the SPRG local talent could come up with a heck of a great radio station.

I haven't tried it actually. I notice the stations dont have a long range once outside of Hardy, but boy do I love some of the local radio stations! I feel like i'm living in the 1960's its so homey.

Hi Forum,
Just an addition to the other below. Does anyone else have reception problems inside their house? What stations can you get and what's their program format?

RADIO IN THE AREA
Hi Forum,
A subject important to me is radio. I listen to radio more than I watch TV. It is a tough issue locally because reception is poor -- at least in the house. Also, the nearby stations and their formats are pretty much the same. There is good radio out of Jonesboro that would supply some variety but it is almost impossible to get because one local station consumes so much of the band width. I have nothing against the station, but I wish it didn't crowd out the Jonesboro options. How would you like to see local radio develop and what additional formats or types of offerings would you like to see?
