Arkansas’s General Election
Voting Guide
REGISTRATION: To participate in this election, citizens must have submitted an Arkansas Voter Registration Application by the October 4, 2010 deadline. The application
is available in both English http://www.sos.arkansas.gov/elections/elections_pdfs/voter/voter_reg_ap_ar.pdf and Spanish http://www.sos.arkansas.gov/elections/elections_pdfs/voter/voter_reg_ap_ar_spanish.pdf . The original application must be submitted to your county clerk or the Secretary of State in person or by mail. Registered voters who have recently moved to a different county must transfer their voter registration by October 29, 2010.
Even if you are already a registered voter, it is important to keep your voter registration information current. Verify your information using Voter View available at
www.votenaturally.org. If you see anything that needs to be updated, please contact your county clerk immediately. Click here for a listing of contact information for county clerks.
ABSENTEE VOTING: If you know you will be unavoidably absent from the polls on the November 2, 2010 Election Day, you may request an absentee ballot from your county
clerk. Voters must mail back their ballot by Election Day.

EARLY VOTING: Early voting will be available from Monday, October 18 - Monday, November 1 statewide between the hours of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 10a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, ending at 5 p.m. on the Monday before the election. Off-site early voting hours may vary by county. Each county will provide at least one early voting location (usually the county courthouse), and some will offer additional satellite locations. Your specific polling location can be found by searching your voter registration on Voter View.
ELECTION DAY VOTING: The General Election is Tuesday, November 2, 2010. Polls are open statewide from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Your precinct is determined by where
you live and the polling site is assigned by your county election commission. Most local newspapers publish a list of polling sites within a few days of an election. If you received a Voter ID card from your county clerk, it may show your precinct. You can also find your location online at www.voterview.org.
First-time voters can get information on how to vote and find out where they will be voting at www.votenaturally.org or by calling the Secretary of State’s Election Division at (800) 482-1127.
