we've generally had good experiences with the two pools. we mostly will end up at omaha because my kids like the high dive. never had any problem with lifeguards but i have heard stories in the past of some they didn't ask back, however i have no first hand knowledge of that.

Hi Guest,

I mostly swim at Omaha but would go to T-Bird at the close of day sometimes. I didn't feel rushed beyond what I would expect for coming close to closing time. I'd like to hear more about your experience. Basically, i've been impressed by the overall maturity of the lifeguards given their age. I'm generally used to much less adult acting life guards elsewhere in my travels. At Omaha they are really good with the kids and seem watchful without being intrusive.

Bathrooms Empty rude lifeguards

Post by gues Mon May 23, 2011 9:05 pm

I dont know but some of the teenage "lifeguards" at Thunderbird were really rude to the patrons last year.  I think they just wanted everybody out so they could party with their friends who took over the pool.

The one at Omaha pool is looking pretty good. I havent seen Tbird's recently. However I do agree that for very little money, the public amenities at Tbird and Omaha could be made much better. The pools look good, but the mini golf and things like that need attention. We play tennis at the north course and those courts are hardly used but there are enough people who use them that they should be paid more attention to.

Hi Forum,

Okay, so it's not a pretty topic. But it does matter. Last year the men's changing room at the T-Bird Center needed some work. It was dank and more than showing its age. Hope that is on SID's to-do list this summer.
