Forum,

There have been many commentaries today on the anniversary of the terrorist attacks of 9/11. The one that moved me most is linked below. I was not in NYC on the day of the attacks. But as a younger man I worked two blocks from the Twin Towers and occasionally attended meetings in the building. I will never forget the view from the windows, or the ear-popping elevator ride. There was also a concourse deep below the towers of stores which I would frequently visit. The bravery of the rescue workers -- Fire, Medical, Police -- and brave people inside the towers who sacrificed for one another that day showed what our Nation is made of and the strength of our people. We must also remember the brave men who challenged the terrorists and brought down the plane that was heading to the White House and crashed instead into a field in Pennsylvania. "Let's roll" he said. This is the courage and spirit of "ordinary" Americans. (Cont.)
