Cherokee Village Trash Cleanup Efforts by One Local Citizen

Thanks, Mike, for posting this link. Sharon and her husband deserve serious recognition for their good work. Any litter problem is disgusting in what is rightly called "the Natural State." Arkansas and Cherokee Village are a place of such natural beauty that any litter maker ought to be ashamed.

My sense is that the litter problem has gotten much better under Code Enforcement. People who have to work off fines by picking up litter is a good idea. Most litter comes from two sources. Idiots driving through the Village tossing stuff out the window because that's how they live at home. The next group are the dumpers who don't want to deal with a trash service or use the Village trash receptacle in Town Center.

"Take action today and help to cut the cost of litter. The next Cherokee Village Pride cleanup day in is October 29 from 8-noon with free lunch provided following the cleanup. Meet at the Cherokee Village Senior Center to sign in and pick up bags and vests."
