THE ECONOMY -- REAL CAUSES

Hi Forum,
From time to time something shows up in the press that really gets to the heart of the issue. I would really like to get feedback on the analysis of this opinion piece. Bottom line, only the middle class makes or breaks an economy because only the middle class actually spends (rather than hordes) the money to create a vibrant economy. But the middle class has been sold down the river working more hours for less pay than 30 years ago -- even though their productivity is higher than ever. Technology replacing people and the exporting of manufacturing have killed us. Meanwhile, the top 1% grows and grows and nothing "trickles down." This is reality stuff. It's worth the read.
