Hi Forum,

These volunteers should get our thanks. Spring River deserves to be kept beautiful. Sometimes rude people don't treat the river front as the natural treasure it is. Fortunately, those folks are few. These volunteers show the proper regard. Thanks.

Volunteers pick up trash at Spring River


Sunday, September 18, 2011

Members of the state park staff and volunteers, spent Saturday, Sept.
10, picking up trash along Spring River. Many Islands supplied the
canoes and bus transportation for this semi-annual maintenance effort.
Organizers said that removal of litter, left by inconsiderate river
visitors, is a constant issue to keep one of our natural resources
beautiful.
