Hi Conventional1 & trout,
This whole thread is worth developing. We really need to share knowledge about decent places to eat. Thanks.

quote="trout"]For a little more upscale place to eat try Cafe 37 on the square in West Plains. Great food, the best service and prices are very good.
Wine list is good also. Check out their web site to see all about them.[/quote]

Grand Gulf State Park in Thayer
We always seem to end up doing the same old things when we have company--drive up to Mammoth Spring and eat at the Riverbend or Fred's Catfish. But our friends also really liked Grand Gulf State Park (the "little grand canyon") about 7 miles northwest of Mammoth. I wouldn't go there in the summertime, but in the Spring and Fall it makes for great exercise.
