Hi Forum,
A lot of folks who come to visit the area and long-time locals too like the Ozark Folk Center in Mountain View. They have a website with events and it is an active place. Here is their website:

For those who want to explore another "cultivated" part of the Natural State, the Botanical Gardens of the Ozarks are also worth a visit. Here's the website:
