Re: LAKES & COMMON PROPERTY
Hi forum,
I don't want to let go of this topic. How can I get the issue of common property lake access on the radar? There are actually just a few of these strips to the water front of the various lakes. It really would be wonderful for property owners across from the lakes as well as visitors and fishers.

Hi trout,
I expect that you are right about cost and use. There probably needs to be a speaking up about interest. The simple fact is that some of these overgrown thin strips of Common Property are the only public access points to certain great areas of the lakes.

Re: LAKES & COMMON PROPERTY
Could be SID is not aware of the problem or that they feel the areas are not used much if any and cut costs by not taking care of them. Maybe letting them know that it would improve looks and more people would use them if they were keptup and may advertised more. There are a lot of areas in the village that people don't really know are availablt to them. Trails, parks, etc.

Re: LAKES & COMMON PROPERTY
Paul, I agree with you. I believe the best way is to contact SID and attend city council meetings and be a thorn in their side until it is accomplished. This goes along with the parks. It alll can be improved and at very little cost. Maintaining would be easy and also very little cost. This has always been a no brainer in my book.

LAKES & COMMON PROPERTY
Hi Forum,
There are strips of "Common Property" which provide lake access according to the plats. Many of these strips of Common Property are overgrown and do not really allow for a pathway. Would it be possible and reasonable to have these little strips carved out some so that a person could walk on a little path to the water's edge?
