Hi Forum,

I'm just curious if this whole matter of Parlago ever really has been resolved. Do they still have lots, plans? Or did everything default into tax lots?

PARLAGO Empty Parlago

It seems that with a shortfall of approximately 250,000. from SID property assessments, that Parlago may have let their properties go. If so, if anyone was looking for one of the better lots they did have, now may be a time to look.

Hi Trout,

Seems like you've noticed a pattern here. The mistake is allowing large numbers of lots to go off the tax rolls for speculation. The fairytale was Parlago as a village within the Village and somehow superior to it. What a joke.

I believe they have let the lots go since SID has stated assesments are way down. That would lead me to think PL is not paying taxes at all on the lots. So the cycle continues. Somewhere in the cycle someone new will buy a bunch of lots with the idea of making "a killing" they to will fail. just like all the others. sounds like a fairy tale huh? but very true.

I think most people have forgotton about them. My guess is they still hold the lots or they have let them go to back taxes. The way to check is to get a few of the lot numbers, blocks, subs etc and call the courthouse and see if they are up to date. Or call SID with the same info. Parlago is old news in a long line of entities who thought they were going to get rich selling general lots. Remember the guy with the white little signs all over the village with the 401 area code phone number (Rhodes Island)? He bought a ton of lots also back then. Wonder would happen to him?

Hi Forum,

Does anyone know what has happened to the properties Parlago acquired? Do they still hold them? Does Parlago even exist anymore as a business entity?
