Hi src,

When Chuck and I saw Emily play about a year ago, she was probably about 20 years old. She had recently come back from auditioning for a TV talent show. This youtube clip is sweet, but doesn't begin to do her justice. Part of the problem with it is that Emily is one heck of a good guitar player. The clip obscures that a bit. When we heard her it was just her and her folk guitar. Wonderful! She is also a fantastic song writer -- deep soul. If you get a chance to see her some "open mike" night, by all means go.

Thanks for posting this--she's good wish i could have heard it. Is Emily a high school student?

WORDS AND WORDS AFTERWARDS -- EMILY COPELAND

Post by Paul2CV on Tue Apr 05, 2011 10:24 pm

Hi Forum,

From time to time, I have mentioned my surprise that Words and Words Afterwards hasn't taken off more in Hardy. On a regular "open mike" Thursday poster Chuck and I saw an amazing performance by a young woman -- a huge talent. Here is a short video of her singing and playing:

There's talent in these hills!
