Cherokee Village Arkansas Mayor Election 2010

Go down

"Much ado about nothing..."

Post by Paul2CV on Mon Oct 11, 2010 9:36 pm

Hi Forum,

What I've learned through the years is that duly elected people stay in office when they are doing a good job. It's that simple. No one has stepped forward to run against Mayor Hefley because the City is running quite nicely. Sure, each Mayor and his or her administration will bring their own style and strengths and weaknesses. Some people will like that style more than others. But they stay in office because on balance people know deep down they are doing a competent and worthy job. In the case of our present Mayor, he has had to deal with some tough stuff from the ice storm to the deer problem, code enforcement to re-staffing the CV Police Department. No one is running against the Mayor because no one has enough motivation to do so because it's a hard and largely thankless job and right now it is being done quite nicely by a dedicated and able man.
